Virginia Beach, Va. - Alexandria Condell of Bethune-Cookman and Norfolk State's Hillary Cheruiyot were selected as this week's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday from the home office in Virginia Beach, Va.

Condell, a 5-foot-6 sophomore transfer from Essex County College in New York, earned her third consecutive Top 10 finish as she placed third at the annual FLrunners.com Invitational in Titusville, Fla. this past weekend. Condell finished with a season-best time of 19:10.23 in the event.

Condell's time allowed B-CU to collect sixth place in the event behind teams such as Miami, Nova Southeastern and UCF.

As for Cheruiyot of Norfolk State, he earned his bid for Athlete of the Week on the men's side of things with a time of 25:49 and a first place finish in the Norfolk State Invitational. It was his second weekly honor of the young season-to-date.
