SOPHOMORE (2007)

2007 season ... • Saw action in 29 games as a sophomore, but collected nine starts in the outfield for the Wildcats; Really stepped it up after a reserve role for the `Cats as a freshman • Posted nine hits in 36 trips to the plate; Recorded a batting average of .250 for the year • Poured in six RBI and batted out one triple; Scored 14 times for B-CU as well • Recorded a fielding percentage of .923 with 24 putouts in the outfield • Finished the year perfect in stolen base attempts with five thefts in five tries

2007 highlights ... • Posted a 1-for-2 day at the plate with two runs scored against Mercer (2/10) in the second game of a doubleheader sweep over the Bears; Also collected a career-high four putouts in that contest • Scored the tying run in the top-half of the ninth inning in a come-from-behind rally attempt against Coastal Carolina (3/9) in the Myrtle Beach Hyundai/Isuzu Classic in Conway, S.C. • Went a blistering 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in a doubleheader affair at Maryland Eastern Shore (4/29); Posted a stolen base against the Hawks as well • Was a perfect 1-for-1 as a pinch hitter with a run scored in the MEAC Championship series against North Carolina A&T (5/20)

FRESHMAN (2006)

2006 season ... • Picked up six starts in 23 games played as a true freshman • Batted .222 on the year with eight hits and two runs • Collected three RBI on the year • Got the jump on the pitcher for three stolen bases in five attempts • Posted 21 putouts and two assists in the outfield for a .958 fielding percentage on the season

2006 highlights ... • Posted a season-best three hits at Stetson (4/18) in four at-bats • Collected two RBI against Maryland-Eastern Shore (4/29) • Stole two bases against Stetson (4/18) in two attempts • Recorded four putouts in the outfield at Mercer (2/18)

HIGH SCHOOL

• Helped the Red Devils to a 13-15 overall record in 2005. • Picked up two varsity letters under head coach Brian Clarke as a center fielder. • Named as the All-County Player of the Year as a senior (2005) ... also selected to the All-County Team in 2004 and '05. • Tabbed as an All-Conference performer following successful junior (2004) and senior (2005) campaigns at Pike High School. • Selected to the Indiana All-Star All-West team (2004) and Indiana All-Star South Team (2005) ... Indiana All-Star Super Team (2005). • Earned the Stolen Base Award and MVO honors as a junior and senior in high school ... picked up the team's best batting average award in 2005. • Stats include a batting average of .428 ... recorded 35 stolen bases in 38 attempts ... slammed out six homeruns.

Patrick Jones, Jr. is the son of Patrick, Sr. and Lita Jones ... born on Nov. 24, 1986 in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana ... he is related to Gary Thurman, manager of the Seattle Mariners Triple-A (AAA) squad ... majoring in Marketing Management at Bethune-Cookman ... volunteers his spare time working concessions at the RCA Dome ... chose B-CU because he knew it would be a great fit for him ... wants to become stronger, faster (if possible) and better in all areas of baseball ... says his father and mother are the biggest athletic influence sin his life because they gave him the opportunity to play sports and have put a lot of time and money into his dream of playing baseball.
