Finished his sophomore campaign with an ERA of 3.86 in five appearances on the hill Used out of the bullpen as a late reliever; Fanned three batters on the season Worked seven full innings for the Wildcats as a reliever; Allowed just three earned runs (four overall) 2007 highlights ... Fanned three batters against Maryland Eastern Shore (5/17) in the MEAC Tournament in Norfolk, Va.; Worked a career-high three full frames out of the pen against the Hawks of UMES Allowed no runs or hits against North Carolina A&T (4/8) on the road in Greensboro, N.C. Surrendered just a single hit against Florida Atlantic (5/12) in a full frame of action on the road FRESHMAN (2006) 2006 season ... Toed the mound 13 times for the Wildcats to earn an ERA of 6.16 for the campaign Pitched a complete 19.0 innings as a freshman Struck-out 14 batters throughout the year while scattering 27 hits 2006 highlights ... Fanned a season-high five batters against Norfolk State (4/16) in a win for the Wildcats Posted 2.1 innings of work for the Wildcats at Oral Roberts (4/2) Had a defensive putout on a stamped-out bunt against Tulane (6/3) in the NCAA Regional (Oxford, Miss.) Combined for a 7-0 shutout of Norfolk State (4/16) in the late innings by allowing just one hit in his time on the mound HIGH SCHOOL Played his high school baseball for head coach José Negron. Played in the baseball-heavy Palomino League as champs during his senior year with a record of 18-0. Threw one (1) no-hitter against Cuba in the World Series (2003). Had two shutouts during his junior year, while also being named as an All-Star in the CABA World Series (2003). Named as a high school honor roll student at the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy and High School.
