Stepped right into the starting lineup as a heavily-favored transferred from USF • Nicknamed "Batman" as half of the Batman and Robin duo for the Wildcats linebacking core • Played in nine games for the `Cats, while making a start in five of those contests • Missed two games and played sparingly in another due to injury • Finished the season fifth in the league in tackles (73), while placing second on the squad in that same category • Finished third on the team in solo stops (33) • Fifth on the team in tackles-for-loss with 7.5 ... resulting in a total of 30 yards of lost yardage to the opposition • Picked up 2.5 quarterback sacks (-21 yards) • Collected one of the team's three blocked kicks on the campaign • Started out the year strong with nine tackles (seven assisted) in the Gateway Classic against Southern in Jacksonville, Fla. • Picked up another nine stops (four solo) against Savannah State a week later in Daytona Beach • Also collected 1.5 tackles-for-loss against the Tigers • Registered his first double-digit tackle performance on Homecoming against Winston-Salem State where he chipped in with 10 stops, including a season-high tying seven solo tackles • Had season-high tying marks in tackles-for-loss (2) and sacks (1) against the Rams as well • Had a season-high 12 tackles at Hampton in a nationally-televised contest on ESPNU • Seven of those tackles were solo stops against the Pirates ... as well as blocking one kick • Posted his third double-digit outing against Howard in Daytona Beach where he collected 10 tackles (seven assisted).

Played in all 11 games, starting two at middle linebacker in 2005 for the USF Bulls program • Finished sixth on the team with 40 tackles, including 28 solo stops • Had six stops for losses, including one sack, that coming at Louisville (Oct. 22) • Had season-high 10 tackles at Cincinnati (Nov. 20) • Ronnie McCullough was ranked 22nd in the state by the Florida Times-Union and 30th in the state by the Orlando Sentinel • 34th by Larry Bluestein of FloridaKids.net • Class 5-A (AAAAA) All-State Third Team as a running back, despite playing in just six games • Ranked eighth best player in Tampa Bay by St. Petersburg Times • First Team All-County in Tampa Tribune • Posted 714 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns in just six games • Also had 54 tackles and four fumble recoveries in the six games • Registered 3,041 career rushing yards at Hillsborough High School with 40 touchdowns • Rushed for more than 900 yards and had 15 touchdowns as a junior • Also as a junior, he had a 28-tackle game against Chamberlain High School and he finished that season with 94 tackles, including 13 for losses • First Team All-County as a junior • "He is one of the most competitive players I've ever coached," Hillsborough High head coach Earl Garcia told the St. Petersburg Times • "He's a warrior.
