Daytona Beach, Fla. - The accolades continued this past week for senior linebacker Ronnie McCullough as he was announced the play in the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star game this weekend in El Paso, Tex. This is an incredible feat for the senior linebacker who led the nation in tackles per game for the last six (6) weeks of the season, and was a Third Team All-America selection in the Sports Network poll. McCullough, already tabbed as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year, was named to the roster last weekend. He has also been named as this year's Sheridan Broadcast Network (SBN) Defensive Player of the Year. "This is great for the program [Bethune-Cookman], and simply unbelievable what's going on for me right now," stated McCullough. "I will continue to try and represent the school and myself as well as possible." The senior recently found out that he finished atop the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) as the leading tackler, statistically, with 149 to his credit at the end of the regular season. For McCullough, this is his third (3rd) accolade this year. The Tampa, Fla. native will be just one of several national elite players selected to play in this year's Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Game at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Tex.
