Robin Haynes beings her fourth season as an assistant coach for the Lady Wildcats basketball team. A native Orangeburg, South Carolina, Haynes adds a wealth of talent and experience to the coaching staff. While attending Orangeburg's Wilkerson High School, she was All-Region five consecutive years, dating from the 8th to the 12th grade. Haynes was also the North South All-Star Game MVP her senior year in high School. Haynes attended Claflin University where she earned a degree in physical education. While at Claflin, Haynes was an All-Conference player for the NAIA, 1994-1998; she was also MVP of the conference her junior year, she was Co-MVP of the conference as well as Second Team All-American to end her stellar career. Upon graduating, she took a job at her alma mater, Wilkerson High School, as an assistant coach for the 1999-2000 season. For the period of time she was there, she helped lead her team to a state championship. After helping lead Wilkerson High School to a state championship, she went on to coach at Myrtle Beach High School, for the 2000-2001 season. After leaving Myrtle Beach High School, Haynes took some time off from coaching, but now has come back to help the Lady Wildcats in their quest for victory. She says, "Imparting new knowledge about the game of basketball makes me feel good to know that I am giving back ad teaching from my years of playing and coaching." Robin Haynes is single and resides in Daytona Beach, Fla. |
