2008-2009 B-CU Team Award Winners Announced
 
The 2008-2009 B-CU Athletic teams were hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Bethune-Cookman University Athletic Department at team banquets held Monday and Tuesday night in the Wildcat Lounge. Each sports designated award winners and head coaches gave their summaries of the season. Spring sports are still competing with MEAC Championships upcoming in track and field, (this weekend) softball (May 7-10), baseball (May 14-17) and golf competes at the Minority National Championships in Port St. Lucie (May 8-10).

MEAC Announces Academic Award Winners For 2008-2009
 
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA., - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced the 2009 Commissioner's All-Academic Team, recognizing 593 student-athletes from the conference's 12 member institutions who achieved academic success during the 2008-09 academic school year. The team honors student-athletes, including sophomores to seniors, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. "I congratulate and commend the student-athletes who have achieved academic success by maintaining a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2008-09 school year," said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. "I would further like to congratulate the coaches, institutions, and parents of these academic achievers for their contributions to the student-athletes success."

Bethune-Cookman at the MEAC Bowling Championships - Kim Roe Named to All-Tournament Team
The Lady Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman University Bowling took on some excellent competition in Day Two of the MEAC Bowling Championships, playing in Baker matches head to head as determined in Friday's qualifying round. Bethune-Cookman Bowling Gearing Up For MEAC Championships
The Lady Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman Bowling wrapped up their regular season over the weekend. This year proved to have a few close calls that could have gone the other way, in favor of B-CU, but the year was highlighted by solid individual performances. This past weekend's tournament was no different. In the upcoming MEAC Bowling Championships, the Lady Wildcats look to be quite competitive in the conference. This past weekend, the team traveled to the Holiday Collegiate Bowling Classic in Besemer, Ala., where they faced an entire tournament of team match play. Wildcat Bowlers Play Consistently and Get Big Tournament Finish
The Bethune-Cookman Women's Bowling team headed out this past weekend for the FAMU Rattlers NCAA Bowling/Releasers Classic in Tallahassee, Fla. The Lady Wildcat bowlers were faced with familiar competition from the MEAC Southern Division and previous tournaments. B-CU played solidly as a team, led by Kimberly Roe's tournament-topping pinfall of 1035, finishing the tournament 9-3, in second-place, just behind Florida State. [+]

Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats Bowling Selected For MEAC Bowling Championships
The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced today the eight-team field that will compete in the 2009 MEAC Bowling Championship, March 20-22, at the Gate City Lanes in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats were among the field of eight that will be headed to take their shot at the tournament championship. [+]
